How long is my new client appointment? Your first appointment should last 60 minutes. You can schedule your new client appointment below.
What should I bring to my first appointment? Be sure that you complete the new client form. This form is a fillable pdf so you can print it out and bring it with you, or you can email it to us prior to your first appointment. You’ll want to also bring results of any tests you’ve had done and any other pertinent information as well as a list of your current medications (if any) with you to your first appointment.
When will I start seeing results? How long before I am better? While this is nearly impossible to answer as each individual’s path to healing will be unique for them, perhaps examining differences between allopathic and holistic approaches to a problem will provide some context of how we’ll approach your health.
Most people coming to us for the first time are used to the traditional medical/biomedical model, which is designed to address and eradicate symptoms, often through pills or substances.
Most people seeking traditional allopathic medical treatment make an appointment with their doctor, and during this appointment will list their symtom(s) and the doctor, perhaps after a battery of tests, reaches a diagnosis and then chooses which type of synthetic drug treatment would be best for them, or if the condition warrants, recommend surgery. Unfortunately, since the underlying cause of the problem is rarely (if ever) addressed, the true source of the problem continues and every synthetic substance introduced into the body changes, when processed by the liver, resulting in a potentially undesirable side effect. In some cases these side effects are worse than the original condition. Still, the patient may be happy if the original symptom has disappeared, at least temporarily.
In contrast, holistic healing seeks to address the cause of the problem. Often, our problems are a result of imbalances in multiple systems and thus it can be a time-consuming process to help the body restore complete health, with the worst side effect being temporary detoxification reactions. The length of time required to achieve the total restoration of health is different for each individual, and requires patience and commitment. As with the allopathic approach, there will be resolution of the symptoms but unlike traditional medicine, treatment does not lead to other problems, only resolution and health with no detrimental side effects.
We will listen to the body and address the issues at the pace that the body needs in order to heal itself. Clients are always told "We are not in charge, your body is".
How much will this cost? Great question. All of our prices are provided up-front, so you can see what your treatment costs. However, your question is likely about what this long-term treatment will cost you, and if you can afford it.
Honestly, our human nature is to take our health for granted when we have it. The more the loss of health affects our lives, it begins to have increased value to the point where in some cases, material wealth means little in comparison.
Our goal is to restore you to complete health naturally, instead of just address increasing symptoms for a lifetime (at increasing costs.) Compared to long-term drug therapy, hospitalization or surgery, our treatment costs are minimal and as with health restoration, dependent on how much help is required for your body to restore itself.
Excelsior Health Center is a cash only practice so please come prepared for this when you come for your appointment. We can can accept checks if absolutely necessary, but we would greatly appreciate you coming prepared with cash for payment.
